1. Call to Order
a. Meeting called to order at 7:35 pm.
b. In attendance: Dick Balaska, Marlene Bodnar, Matt Hoey, Joe Iassogna, Patty Iassogna, John Knapp, Sue Knapp, Tim McCloskey, Joanne Nault, Ron Nault, Geralyn Nelson, Matt Schilling, Kathy Sperry, Cee Trotta
2. Acceptance of Minutes
a. June minutes accepted and approved unanimously.
3. Committee Reports
a. Treasurer: FlexBone Camp – money
i. All scholarship requests will go to Coach Unger or Matt Hoey
ii. Account Balance: $4250 – half of last year at this point
b. Turf Side Café – possible purchase of hot chocolate machine – Matt S. will discuss with Netminders (Lax), Youth Football and Youth Lacrosse.
c. Golf Tournament: Date set for Wednesday, August 22, 2012 –$125 per golfer
i. Sign on green two weeks prior to event
ii. Matt has list of 35 Tee-Sponsors – discussion of possible perks for sponsors to come and golf…discussion will continue with golf committee
iii. Discussion of getting article in Courier, Alumni Facebook page, our website, GCTV
d. Car Wash Committee – headed by John Knapp
e. Bake Sale and Tag Sale during Guilford parade – 9/22/12
f. Possible bake sale during tree lighting – approach new Pizza Restaurant – to set up in front of their store front.
4. Old Business
a. Budget reviewed and passed as proposed
5. New Business
a. Discussion of sending a solicitation letter written by Joe to Guilford businesses – include golf tournament information and yearbook information.
i. Letter signed by Joe and Matt S. as tournament coordinator
b. Packet will be prepared for next meeting for each family to include Yearbook Ad form, Schedule, Spiritwear, etc.
6. Meeting adjourned at 8:46 pm. Next meeting immediately following parent meeting with Coach Unger, outside the weight room – Monday, August 13, 2012.
