GHS Touchdown Club meeting Minutes

Volunteers/Guests:  Sara Alberti, Sebastian Derda, Paula Burns, Tara Huffman, Marybeth Clarke, Todd Rose, Joanna Derda, Coach Salvati

Participation dropped; down to 45 players

33 Varsity players; all Freshmen are dressing and traveling

Guilford flag was approved and order given to Minuteman (white flag w/green G)

Community Service forms (StrongSong event/GYF jamboree) are completed; Marybeth will deliver them

Petition to move East Haven game their town

JV schedule dropped 2 games, so there may be additions

$350.00 Insurance paid

$271.19 Minuteman (car wash signs)

$360.00 White t-shirts

$656.00 Hats and blankets

Buy out and Lift-a-Thon balances still outstanding; Amy and Sara

Ad book update: more business ads and less player ads than 2018

50 ads sold, approximately $4,775 in revenue

Spirit wear sales (apparel orders due back by 09/20/19); invoice not received yet, but approximately $1,700 in sales

Merchandise (placing another order; will ask if there’s a discount for volume)

• Blankets ($30)
• Hats ($20)
• Magnets ($5)
• Yard signs (not cost effective)
• Driveway G ($35)
  • Stencil will be used in the weight room on all squat tables

Concession stand volunteers scheduled; request for donations of food sent via evite

09/19/19 Pasta dinner update: sign up for Senior event is full (set up @ 4:30 pm/food to arrive @ 5:15 pm)

09/21/19 Guilford Parade: team is participating for the first time (and will walk with Youth)

Roster cards: pending review of changes to jersey numbers

Purchasing of new items for concessions (Marybeth will ask Cilantros for donation of hot chocolate)

10/03/19 Back-to-School night; approved (will bring spirit wear to sell)

11/01/19 Senior Night festivities (Tara Huffman has volunteered; Barb to share notes from last year)

List from Lecia Scranton of players whose physicals will be expiring

09/11/19 KC’s Restaurant dine out night

09/29/19 Car wash @ Palumbo’s (10:00 am – 1:00 pm)

10/04/19 Pink Night bake sale/other items (pending rescheduling of game)
