GHS Touchdown Club meeting Minutes

August 13, 2019

Volunteers/Guests:  Sara Alberti, Paula Burns, Isamir Martinez, Marybeth Clarke, Sebastian Derda

Team Updates: new players, Jacob Eder (Sophomore), Johnny Deloughery (Senior), Ian Meyers (Sophomore)

Uniform Distribution: Jerseys will be handed out on Thursday, 08/15

FamilyID: only 36 players registered

Practice schedule for pre-season distributed

Lift-a-thon Results: still pending

Create a Guilford flag for players to hold when running out on the field before the games (Coach Salvati to discuss with Jake)

Team Captains: Coach Salvati will speak to the team about criteria for applying

Parent Meeting: Friday, 08/23/19, after practice, 6:00 pm

Practice schedule for the season: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Lift-a-thon Fundraiser: $1,653.40

Credit for early buy-out payment and who sold car wash tickets will go towards banquet tickets

Car Wash Fundraiser results: $1,391 total ($ 965 in player ticket sales)

Status of Player buy-out & how to proceed to collect for 8/19 due date: $2,975

• ($5,800 still outstanding so class reps will need to contact their teams to remind them of the due date)

Minuteman is donating “G” magnets; they offered to create the Guilford G flag (cost to TDC $265 +/-)

Concession stand inspection: $50

Player registration update: all teams are on the guilfordfootball .com website

Concession stand inspection was on 08/14 and has passed, but the HS cooler is not cold enough

Advertising Yearbook update: sales are slow, so class reps will distribute info in their next email

Spirit wear Sales: 2 orders submitted; still pending more from Coach Salvati – deadline on 08/19

Photographer/Date for team photos: Paula Eldridge will volunteer for pics

Concession stand volunteers: sign-up genius has been distributed

Driveway G: Todd Rose has the stencil, will be responsible for repairing it and also will paint them too

Purchasing of new items for concessions, i.e. Coffee Urns

Concession stand open for Scrimmage Sept 6

Pasta Dinner Update: Paula Burns need an updated list for sign-up genius and will distribute

1^st Alumni Flag Football Game – raised by Marybeth Clarke (fun initiative, perhaps a fundraiser in the future)

Centro’s or KC’s Restaurant dine out night: Karen has called both restaurants and neither have returned calls

Yard signs: two color signs/$12 per sign, created by Minuteman

Consider creating other items to sell: blankets, yard signs, baseball caps 

The meeting minutes from JULY were read and approved
