GHS Football TouchDown Club Meeting Minutes

Agenda Item:    Approved meeting minutes from February

Agenda Item:   Treasurer report - no new expenses

Agenda Item:  Old Business items

Head Coach update - Jake Jarvis was present at the meeting and gave an update on the current status of the Football Head Coach position.  The posting is still active, will be refreshed and reposted until 4/7/17.  Jake communicated that he would be meeting with the football players to explain the current situation and assure them of the importance and support for the GHS football program.  Jake will be the contact person for any football athlete looking at colleges/programs and speak with guidance to alert them that he is the designated contact.

Weight Room/Cross Fit - Frank Ralston and Anthony Avallone continue to support the weight room on Tuesdays/Fridays.  Cross Fit sessions are held on Monday evenings.  The wrestling coach is in the weight room on Monday/Wednesday mornings a 6am.

Car Wash Tickets/distribution - First Car Wash is scheduled for Saturday 4/22nd.  Tickets will be printed and mailed to each family.

8th Grade Communications - continue to encourage players to register as soon as possible. The Online store is open for making payments towards the $200.00 per player commitment.

Reminder - installment payments can be made via the online store.  The deadline for the 200.00 commitment for each player is 91/2017

AD BOOK - Working on getting a template to format the AD Book.

Fall schedule - Paula Downer asked if the schedule for the Fall season is available so it can be added to the GHS website.  Frank Ralston will get the schedule to TDClub for posting.

Stat Person - Still need to identify someone to track game stats.

Paint Night - This is a fundraising event to be held at The Marketplace in May.  The details will be forthcoming on date/time.  Also looking into having items for sale at the event (keychains, magnets etc).


AD Book - Still seeking volunteers to handle creating the AD Book


Next Meeting - Tuesday, April 18th.
